Re: [FF]: 2008 Seaon Long Fantasy FIRST Discussion

Well, I'm almost done with Week 3. (One regional left, plus cleanup in three.) At this rate, I'm doubtful of my ability to finish single-handed by, say, Monday. I figure it'll take me about 23 hours to finish, plus another 2-3 hours to clean up the sheet on top of that.

Ways to help if you want to:
  • Clean out used teams from the randomized lists for the regionals, one per tier per regional. This makes it easier to substitute teams in for missing/double-picked teams. Probably about 15 minutes per randomized list.
  • Score a regional or two. Anything in Week 4 and beyond (and Brazil) is fair game; just let me know which one. (And send the results over for adding to the totals.:)) I find that one regional can take about an hour, not counting missing/double-picked team cleanup.
  • "Clean up" a regional or tier. I send you a finished regional, you go through the randomizer and put the first unclaimed team in "empty" slots.
There's a lot more double picks out there than you might think--but they seem to be dying down in favor of "missing" teams.

A note on ranking----Barry shouldn't get too confident just yet. In Week 3, with 1 regional left to score, he's running in second and 3 people are either ahead of him or in easy striking distance. That's not going to hurt him too badly overall--but there are strong competitors out there. One or two lousy regionals (and he's had two already--which is why the others are so close) could drop him into second.

Yeah, could i get the shirt in a smaller size this year. Last years was like a dress on me. :)

I would also like to know current standings, if you have time.

Hey I have to score and administer a huge Fantasy Football league Excel spreadsheet by my lonesome each year - it's ok for others to feel the pain!

:D

As for who is close to Barry--That would happen to be Alex, hill, and myself. Tottanka, lukevanoort, and Travis are also doing well. One or two others are in the general area. (Note--some of these are Week 3 score info that hasn't been connected to the total yet.)

After Week 2, the top 5 were:
Barry 603
Luke 513
Tottanka 425
GeeForce 396
hill 395

hill--I'll PM you with a short list. The pick sheet I posted a few weeks ago is what I'm using.

Barry, let me know when you've got time and I'll get you the needed info.

UPDATE: I'm now about halfway through Week 4. This is a high-scoring week, with at least three people picking up over 200 points in one draft. I have five confirmed as having more than 500 points for the week, and there are still four regionals left to score. Stay tuned--I should have the standings post-Week 4 up sometime soon.
