Are neon lights allowed to go on the robot at all? please tell us

They should be allowed as "Non-functional decorations" as long as they will not interfere with other robots or their drivers, but read the rules, especially the Parts Use Flowchart, to make sure.

Neon i think is prohibited but cold cathodes are allowed but a team may request to have them turned off if they are using a cmu cam. i think this is right but if im wrong please correct me.

i have another question...do you guys know where i can find the "stuff" about them like volts etc..

the cold cathodes run at 12 volts with the provided transformer. are you guys a rookie team? if not you should have some transformers and cathodes from last year
