Radio breaks in autonomous mode??

We discovered tonight that when we activate autonomous mode, the radio communication stops working! We are using a competition port dongle with pins 5/8 shorted, and the OI indicates that we are in autonomous mode, but both radios drop into standby mode!

The radio works fine in tele mode, and the tether works in autonomous mode (not exactly practical)..

Has anyone experienced this or have any thoughts?

Thanks!!

Does it do the same thing with the default code loaded?

Do you happen to be with other teams? I dunno... today we had radio probelms cause when our teams met together to practice we were all on the same channel...

are you sure your not using the switch that disables the RC?

No, we had no other robots nearby, and we confirmed that the disable pin (pin 6) wasn't shorted to ground on the competition port.

Haven't tried default code yet (will try tomorrow), but I would expect that from a code perspective, tether mode should behave the same as tele mode??

A tether cable acts as a radio modem with wires, nothing changes from a code point of view.
