kit of parts tubing
was the tubing you got in the kit rated at 175 psi?
|
Re: kit of parts tubing
ours was, i posted something on the Q&A a few minutes a go, because another Q&A reply said something about 175 psi not meeting criteria, im not sure exactly what that criteria was...

Re: kit of parts tubing
[Public service announcement] regardless of the tubing rating that doesn't mean you should have anything 175psi on your robot. High side of the system 120psi max. Low side 60psi max. The tubing you got in the kit is fine for this application.[/PSA]

Re: kit of parts tubing
I posted the question of heatreating to coil tubing and using the 175psi tubing we recived in the KOP but, first replyed that 175psi did not fit the criteia of <R87>

Re: kit of parts tubing
If it was in the KOP, you can be 99.99999% sure its legal to use.... at least, for its intended purpose anyway.

Re: kit of parts tubing
I know that but in a Q&A reply we got it said 175 psi tubing does not fit the criteia of <R87>

Re: kit of parts tubing
I dont think its at all possible to have a KOP item thats illegal .
As far as pneumatic tubing goes my teams colors are red, white and black . Instead of using this years ORANGE TUBING , i nabbed some of our old BLACK kop tubing |

On second thought, if this is scrap tubing needed for a project outside of competition, then I really have no idea. |

http://forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php?t=8802 It sounds like either you or somebody on the GDC is a little confused about what pressure the tubing in the kit is rated for. |

Re: kit of parts tubing
I posted a clarification question on the Q&A yesterday when I saw that Q&A post. So check back on the pneumatics Q&A forum soon and a clarification should be there.
I just looked at the Q&A post again, and they corrected it. They removed the sentance that said that the "175 psi tubing does not meet the criteria." But my post should still be clarified soon...I hope. |
Re: kit of parts tubing
There i guess its ok to use still?

Re: kit of parts tubing
if you read freelin-wades's rating of 175, i bet you can pump that up to around 250ish... just for safety they have to crank it down.
