Practice Regional Videos
 

Anyone got any videos of any of the practice regionals so everyone can get an idea of how the matches go like pointwise? Ours got cancled do to rain then it went below zero and froze and yea... rain doesnt go very far when the drains are already clogged so yea any videos would be good thx.

There were alot of teams with cameras recording footage. I would definitely contact Rolling Thunder. I'm sure they have some good footage as well.

330's 07-and 08 (at the end) bot is in this one, 702 is fast, but there's only 4 bots on the field 3 matches and 1 hurdle from 330

This one is all racing, no hurdling or Herding???

I know things will get better but of all these, 1 hurdle, and everyone is being nice.....

There were some hurdles and herding later in the day. Most of the robots there were designed as lappers with ball pop-off capability (most were rookies too). One of the rookies you see (the one with the pool noodles on the front) is actually a pretty decent shooter, once they started doing it. 1533, as I understand, had to remove their hurdling mechanism due to weight and our system only got mechanically completed (not electrically or programmingatically, which aren't done even now as it sits in the crate) late the night before. By the end of the day, the rookie shooter (can't remember their number) was hurdling, and we (the robot with the army green bumpers and big hoops for a gripper) were capable of placing, removing, hurdling, and herding, but I think we only really practiced herding since our complete arm code wasn't loaded due to the incomplete electrical system (ie. the pot and limit switches on the elbow weren't installed. With 2CIMs and 2FPs behind the elbow, we didn't want to try it open-loop)

Here's some more footage from the St.Francis Fembots Scrimmage... You have to wait until about a minute into the video to get to the footage from the scrimmage. Of course it's been edited showing just team 701. I'll see if I can upload the raw video clips somewhere. In attendance was Team 2073 (herding and hurdling), Team 692 (I think they hurdled a couple times), Team 852 with omni drive, wicked looking ball puncher, and a "herder hoop", Team 295 (hurdled a few times), Team 1678 had two robots there, one could hurdle, but needs something to stiffen up their forklift section, Team 1662 was driving like a bandit, Team 2085 was there also just driving until they could fix up thier feedback sensor on their arm. Team 2204 and 2156 were there also, but just driving.
