Gosh I'll kinda miss it...but then again I'm drained. I GET TO GO HOME EARLY!!! WOOO no more getting home around 9.

A little bit... cause nowo there's nothing to look forward to afterschool.

But over here, I guess the sky was more depressed because it started crying when the robot was being packed up.

It's my last build season and last ship day as a student, so it was rather bittersweet to see the crate loaded up into the truck. Though, at least the robot works this year.

We didn't crate up until 3:15am...

so at that point I was beyond emotions like depressed. It was into the part of the night where emotions fall into three categories:

1. tired

2. tired and confused

3. bohemian rhapsody karaoke

I was feeling all three.

But yeah, I want to go do something to it. At least polish the chassis or something...

Glad I get to sleep -- (I just slept 6 hours or 7, and I'm going back to sleep because it's half past midnight), social life is nice too, just mostly glad that I'm not going to be in the shop much anymore, I mean yeah robotics is fun but when you're in there working for six weeks/four weeks/whatever I actually worked for, it drains you.

I wish i could have seen Fedex pickup our robot. Now we have time to do the things that nobody wanted to do during the build, like t-shirts and such.

This was about how it went for team 647 and while I was the only freshman not asleep at home when we packed up the robot , there were three seniors and a junior who ( and me) who left around 5:45 AM.

See you at Chesapeake!

I'd have to say I feel the same way. Our robot is almost completely done mechanically (I think we're getting a lighter chain, thats it). All that is left is for the programmers to work out a few bugs.

Oh and the mentor from Oconomowoc told the FedEx guy that we were supposed to ship to Chicago o.o It was actually pretty funny.

*tear* I wanted to give it a speech, but...I forgot. At this moment, my robot is being exposed to danger robots and wild women! XD

OMG! Yes I was so sad yesterday... I felt like crying...but I didn't. lmao! But still yes, Robotics is my LIFE! What will I do for four weeks?

Not me, but that's probably because as the head scout, I have more to do once the robot ships  It was a little weird yesterday, though, getting in the car at 3 and driving straight home...

We still have meetings twice a week. No idea what we're doing *shrugs* But I don't care. I'm going to die when the season ends D:

Our team has found that the off season can be productive with outreach and fundraising. It's also a good time to work on team organization: handbooks, etc. The team is smaller then but there are enough members that remain active that we can make plans. There are also great off season competitions to attend, hopefully in your area. If not, start researching what it would take to pull off a successful off season competition. That could keep you pretty busy. There's always something to do that is productive and will help your team grow.

Great question. The answer is YEAH! Building the robot took alot of time, especially my social life, but when I saw it in the crate I just wanted to take it out. Its so hard to hand over something so important to you! I wanted to hurt the Fedex guy.:(
