Post-Ship Order Form

It's now a couple days past ship date, and we were hoping to order some spare pneumatic cylinders for our robot. We used some older (legal and unused) cylinders on the robot, and wanted to use the 3 free ones from this build season to have as spares.

I searched the Bimba site and didn't find the FIRST link. I then searched here on CD and followed the link, but Bimba seems to have replaced the order page with a "Thank you" page. Are we not allowed to order the free cylinders anymore? I didn't know that there was a time limit to our orders. Anyone know if this, indeed, is the case?

Thanks,

Bengineer

Re: Post-Ship Order Form

Well, after talking directly with Bimba, I guess I'll just answer my own question. The free cylinder order period is past, and Bimba is no longer offering free cylinders to FIRST teams for the 2008 season.

If you still wanted to place your order for free cylinders this year, you are out of luck. And now, it looks like I'm out $160 + shipping. I can only assume that this procedure will continue next year as well, so please be forewarned.

Best of luck,

Bengineer

Ask around or post here in CD. Someone out there may have the cylinders you need for free (plus shipping cost) or at modest cost. What sizes do you need? Sorry that happened to you.

EDIT: You may also be able to find a local supplier that would at least save you the shipping cost.

Going off on a similar topic as to the Bimba free cylinders. Rule R89 in the manual states that we can only use cylinders from Bimba and Parker that are of the same dimensions as the ones on the Bimba order form. Does anybody remember if there Bimba offered 1 3/4 bore cylinders?

Nope, they offered 3/4, 1-1/2, and 2" bores only.

No only 3/4" 1.5" and 2"

Many thanks. We have some weight issues.... Now if we could only find that Higgs-Boson and cancel it out...
