Motor specs for self-balancing scooter
Hi, my name is Louis.
I am trying to build a self-balancing scooter. I have read many threads on this forum or over the internet on this topic. Many people uses wheelchair motors to power scooter. I want to ask is that what is the specs of the wheelchair motor? Any substitution? Thanks |

The most common wheelchair motors for self-balancing platforms are here:

Here are some that use them: http://www.tlb.org/scooter.html (T64) http://cobweb.ecn.purdue.edu/~477grp12/index.html (T74) However I have a strongly supported hunch that the less-powerful (but lighter, cheaper, and cooler-looking) FIRST-style CIM motors can do the job too.
