No, that's not correct.

There were viruses in the 1970s that struck the Univac computer systems, like the ANIMAL virus.

The Macintosh computer was unveiled in 1984.

Someone wrote a program that would copy a "game" to every directory that exists in the file system, including any removable media. Eventually, it would up that this "game" was inadvertently ending up on the floppy discs they (Univac) were selling, which then spread to every computer the disc was inserted into.
