New developments!

August Adventure is still open to the public, but I have been told that anybody can come, and space will not be a problem!!

Are there going to be any modifications to the rules like some of the other off-seasons are planning? I think BattleCry re-wrote the G22 rule so that a robot had to completely cross the line in the opposite direction for a penalty to occur. I think it's an excellent Idea.

After playing at PARC yesterday with a similarly modified G22 rule, I can attest that it definitely positively increased the gameplay and resulted in much less penalties. We'll discuss it at our next planning meeting.

The following are official rule changes for August Adventure :

-For all four lines: a robot has to completely cross back over the lane divider in order to be penalized. Multiple line crossings will gain multiple penalties.

-Scoring will be based on robot and ball position when they have come to rest.

August Adventure Cancelled

We have decided to cancel the August Adventure tournament on Aug 2-3 because we simply had too few teams sign up for it. We didn’t think it would be worthwhile to run the event with only 12 teams- nowhere near our 25 team cutoff minimum.

Thank you very much to those offering to attend the event. I might suggest enrolling in Battle O Baltimore on August 9th as an alterrnative or any of the fall events in the Northeast.

We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause. We were hoping to put on an event that would be fun for everyone but I guess our region is simply not ready for such an event yet.

Hope to see you all in the fall off seasons,

Wayne Cokeley

But what if more people were planning on attending? :(

Oh well, I hope it works out for you guys next year.

I would suggest Paskack PANDAmonium for those of you who still want some other off season to attend. It is run by 1676 so check it out. :)
