I've heard of problems with 1.1.4, and heard of a 1.1.4 compatibility patch which makes installer.app act as a 1.1.3, but since I'm running 1.1.2 I can't really test that. (yes too many versions in one sentence.)

hmmm double check that you have it installed, if you do try reinstalling along with the Jiggy IDE and see what happens.

Re: iPhone Scouting Application-Preview Release

blaxbb,

why dont you just get them from the FIRST website?!?

http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc...ts.aspx?id=430

Re: iPhone Scouting Application-Preview Release

because then I have to type each team number for each regional, thats only a few thousand :yikes:

i'll probably do it anyway but I might as well ask

Re: iPhone Scouting Application-Preview Release

If there's no premade spreadsheet, I would still at least suggest using TBA over the usfirst.org website. You can access the data more readily, and it comes with the short-form team name rather than the longer one (which is probably the name you want for a mobile scouting application). Sample page:

http://www.thebluealliance.net/tbatv...140&mode=teams

It's still a lot of copy-paste, but it's better than typing and it only has to be done once.

Re: iPhone Scouting Application-Preview Release

Kind of a big update.

*You can now pick your regional, save it, and scout off of a premade list.
*Only week 2 (AR,FLR,KA,VCU,SD) are added right now, I should have all on by tomorrow night 3/5.
*When all of the weeks are added, information about the same team should (theoretically) transfer from week to week.
*The Info fields are not finished, they should also be done tomorrow.
*Pretty much ready for use.

Re: iPhone Scouting Application-Preview Release

It works on 1.1.4 now.
Just a few more suggestions:
Total Score, Laps, and Hurdles should be integers only. There's no such thing as half a point, unless this program is intended to be used as a quick reference to averages and totals.
There should be a notes field. There's always potential for something to happen that isn't on the sheet.

Awesome work. I'm going to figure out how we can best use it this year.

I wasn't planning it as a scoring device but as a database you could reference for more of a general idea/average.

Couldn't get it done in time for week two, maybe in the future.

Re: iPhone Scouting Application-Preview Release

UPDATE Version 1.1
*Organized competition list by week number
*Added Save to Spreadsheet

-Saves as Comma Seperated Value format(only tested in OpenOffice)
-Must be accessed via FTP (can't depend on wireless access at comps anyway)
- A good FTP tutorial (not mine) is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv2XGm6Gn04
-You either need a wifi connection or an ad-hoc connection(look at "configuring the host computer" section)
-Stored in /Applications/iScout.app/(Regional Name)Scouting.csv
-Seperate Spreadsheet for each event
