I managed to get into the chat room by signing up for a meebo account and searching for the Soap Gameday room. Room is here but no one is really in it.

I threw together a quick placeholder page. You can use the Meebo room and find links to the webcast here:

http://www.thebluealliance.net/gameday/

Hopefully this will offer a decent standby until Gameday is back up!

The Gameday page isn't working right this week, either. I can get to the Meebo chat, but none of the webcasts or event info pages are there.

Will there be GameDay this week?

No GameDay, I guess. The only webcast that can be found is from Team 291, and it has no audio.

Try here. I was watching Bayou and Boston all day.

Yes, does anyone know if there will be sound tommorrow or are they just having sound problems?

Re: SOAP GameDay: Week 2

The storms here last week knocked out the internet, and I've been patiently waiting for it ever since. I managed to drive 20 miles up to my dad's to setup GameDay for week 5. Everything should be okay. I will try and check up on everything tomorrow morning.

For those of you that have been asking why there really haven't been any major updates since week 3... I have been working long and hard on improving the current system and developing some cool new features. I didn't want to release anything haphazardly and risk killing the live server during the events. A few of us have been testing the new features on a different server (which for now will remain private) and all tests and additions will be complete and ready to go live for the championship. I will talk about these new features and off season development for next year in a later thread in the upcoming weeks.

Have a great weekend!

Re: SOAP GameDay: Week 2

Sorry about your internet woes Matt, but thanks for trying to get it up. I just opened gameday after reading your post and the Great Lakes webcast was larger then the last couple of ustream webcasts. It made me think you did that on purpose. (wink, wink)

Re: SOAP GameDay: Week 2

Could you add the GTR webcast? I threw together my own gameday-like thing, but it's obviously not quite as good and is in fact quite redundant.

Here's the stream link:
http://www.ctvdigital.com/discovery/first/first.asx

If that doesn't work, here's another
http://mfile.akamai.com/45882/live/r...asx?bkup=23761

The 2nd one doesn't play the ad beforehand, so there might be sketchy ramifications for distributing it.

I guess for maximum not-making-discovery-angry-ness, you could put an iframe or just a link to:
http://www.ctvdigital.com/discovery/first/player.html

Re: SOAP GameDay: Week 2

Hey, how hard would it be to add a local time to each webcast? Like a little clock ticker right under each stream, so we could tell what time it was there... Methinks that would be dandy.

Thanks for all the work you've done on this already!

The Palmetto webcast is here
Is there any way to link it to the soap gameday site?
