Re: [FTC]: New York City Tournament
Thanks 74 for the batteries.
Thanks 232, you were great..too bad we had to face the #1 alliance first =/ Glad we walked home with the motivate award and we couldn't have done that without you guys. I'm still upset about the fact that alliance selection hasn't been serpentine..it gets really unfair when teams just pick off within the top seeds. |
Re: [FTC]: New York City Tournament
It was a great competition yesterday - many great robots, awesome teams, lots of wonderful volunteers making it all happen!

Re: [FTC]: New York City Tournament
As a rookie competitor yesterday. That was extremely fun. I had a good time getting to know other teams.
I still can't believe my team (123 a.k.a. Trial & Error) got ranked 6 in empire. Too bad our triple alliance broke down with Team 146 (their robot was our alliance's primary scorer and a motor came off right after the second game (we won the first, lost the second), in the quarter finals. I'm glad that we were able to get Team 124 (a.k.a. Squirrel Jaws) another team that my school sent into our triple alliance. Turns out team 146 alliance with them in a qualifying round. I have no idea who won so...Anyways does anyone know if Team 123 or Team 124 won anything? Great job to the alliance that won though! |
Re: [FTC]: New York City Tournament
74, 211 and some other team (sorry) won it
i forget who won other award..we got the Motivate Award. That's all I know. Wasn't paying attention until I heard our number lol |
Re: [FTC]: New York City Tournament
Oh well, I didn't expect many people to remember it. Yesterday was an intensive day. I lost my voice, could barely walk when I got home and I could barely hear due to the extremely loud music.
I was joking around that FRC was rick rolled. (They played that rick astley song yesterday). ...But it was one of the best experiences in my life. Oh and lilstogi11, I think the other team was Team Crushinator (forgot their number). |
Re: [FTC]: New York City Tournament
I believe it was number 199, the Crushinators. I would like to thank everyone who helped yesterday. Other then having field software problems resulting in no screen displays, fields set-up backwards, and rather large bumps in one of the fields which our robot and a few others got stuck on in a few matches (the floor's fault), it really went fairly smoothly. I do like the two division setup-it makes things run a lot faster and allows for more matches. The only thing I might change is randomly picking teams for both divisions instead of putting the higher number teams on one division and the lower numbers on the other division.
As for the results and how the alliance selection went down. Team #211 The Robodogs were the 1st ranked after qualifiers. They picked the 4th ranked alliance #74 Team Overdrive and #199 The Crushinators. Edit: Also #30 Mr. T won the Inspire Award. |

What was truly annoying was the crystal issue my triple alliance had when one person gave back the crystals instead of giving it to my team for our robot after qualifying rounds. and thanks lowfategg for the info. |
