I'm a huge fan of the Metal genre, so i thought I'd get a discussion up and going to talk about Concerts, bands, new albums etc. So yea!

Who doesn't love the classics? Reign In Blood, Number of the Beast, Ride the Lightning, British Steel, Vulgar Display of Power? Yes, please.

I lof metal \m/

I'm into anything that isn't sound basically. I used to like In Flames, but they're just sound, IMO.

Children of Bodom, Metallica (possibly the greatest band out there), Avenged Sevenfold, All That Remains, As I Lay Dying, Disturbed and many more...

Classic rock and Punk rock are some genres I prefer as well, but not as much as metal.

I'm so pump! I'm going to a Dimmu Borgir and Behemoth concert in April, shortly followed by Children of Bodom and In Flames in May!

Re: Like Metal?

I love metal!

Last Tuesday I went to Taste of Chaos in Chicago. I fell in love with J-Rock (Japanese metal) that day.

The lineup:
Avenged Sevenfold
Atreyu
blessthefall
Bullet for My Valentine
Mucc
IdiotPilot
The Underneath
D'espairsRay

A7X puts on a terrible show... IMO, Bullet for My Valentine and Atreyu are 100X better. Blessthefall was amazing, also. D'espairsRay was my favorite, though. I was able to get front and center for Bullet, blessthefall, and Atreyu. I have the bruises to prove it... That railing did not have padding on it and I have a bruise between my man boobs and my stomach that runs all the way across my chest. It was amazing!!

Good call on all these bands they are all on my Zune. But I am going to have to add Beneath the Massacre, As Blood Runs Black, Everytime I Die.

I'm considering going to Gigantour in Chicago... but don't think I will because of money. And I'm not a giant fan of any of those bands...

Re: Like Metal?

Lamb of God ftw. And Dimmu, all the way.

For a taste of something interesting, look up Skindred, it's a wonderful blend of metal and reggae... turns out quite good.

I'm trying to goto the Maryland show in April, but it's not looking promising at the moment (no real way to get there). I already have tickets for the In Flames, Children of Bodom, A Life Once Lost show two days earlier in Philly, so if I can't make it to Gigantour all is not lost.

*note, anyone capable of getting me from Philly to Maryland on Saturday April 26th, I'd love you*
