Any know the number of spots of the trackballs?

I was wondering if anyone knew how many white dots each trackball at competition events have?

One ball of each color has four white spots. One ball of each color is "blank".

I thought it was three and made a tetra shape on the ball?? maybe I'm wrong... but I'm pretty sure it was three

For some reason I thought that they put them on top of were ever the fabric was raised up a little. That way metal can't catch on it and pull on it. But I have nothing to back this up.

Yeah we put like 129103912 dots on this weekend, stupid robots popping balls..::mutters:: but yeah its 4 All 120 degrees apart from each other. A dot must be seen from every side.
