I don't think I have seen a team yet that has used this approach.
Did anyone else use a rail system like this?

So does it shoot or lift? I would assume that the arm goes down to the floor to pick up the ball, correct?

It is a lifter.

the outer curve is all garage rail and that claw has a carriage with rollers and slides up and down.
