Re: Offering Website Evaluations

ignore that last one, i figured it out. this is your problem

<body style="visibility: hidden;" background="Team%20%231690%20'THE%20ANSWER'_files/metal003.gif">
you need to get rid of the (style="visibility: hidden;"). that causes your whole page to go byebye. and seeing as your javascript only affects the tables and not the body, thats a bad thing.

This is our "corporate" website, not the student-designed site, so it wouldn't follow the same criteria. If you wouldn't mind, and only when you get a chance and have a break between student-sites, I'd love it if you could provide overall impressions.

It doesn't display well in Firefox; not sure why. www.rivercityrobots.org

Thanks for all the work you are doing! You are providing great feedback!

Are you allowed to use templates for sites? I have seen multiple robotics teams use the following template and I am wondering if one of them won, how fair it would be to the others?

I'm not the biggest fan of it, but teams have to be careful about violating copywrite rules. I'm no expert on the ruling for this, but I'm almost positive that it's within the rules.

Re: Offering Website Evaluations

You can post (instead of PM) Team 1717's site evaluation (dpengineering.org), so that others may benefit from the advice given.

Thanks again!

Web sites are more than their "look". Content is key.

It's very, very disappointing to see teams using templates. That eliminates almost 75% of the learning experience.
