Thanks to everybody who showed up .. I heard it went well. I was unable to attend due to my IFI duties on Galileo going longer than expected.

Sadly, I had to run over from a match and arrived a bit late. And a couple minutes after, I won something apparently, but I heard that my name was pronounced funky. :p Oh well.

Anyways, it was nice to see some of you even if not many. And to the others, I'll see you next year if I come back to mentor. ;)

So I think this is the 5th webhug I've been to and I finally won something! Persistence pays off!

I'm still convinced that no one knows how to say my last name though.

This was my first going to the webhug and it was great fun. I won twice but gave my second copy of Solidworks to Jeff and can't remember who I gave my other shirt too. Ill make sure to be there again next year.

How do you mispronounce Nica?

But as a consolation, my name was pronounced rather strangely too! But those around me thought that's how it was pronounced too, so when it was called they all turned and looked at me! For the record, it is Cyn as in Cynthia, -ette as in corvette.

So we're not up to 3/4 of a million posts yet eh? w00t!
Gotta put posting that 750,000th post on my to-do list. lol
I already had the 500,000th, so why not?

I realized it was after 12 noon when I was in the basement of the GA Dome under the seats of the Curie field unpacking trophies, & ran as fast as I could up those stairs & out to the courtyard and made it just in time to win a SolidWorks student version, SW Pin, and CD T-Shirt.
Thanks to all who came, and also to all the awesome people/companies who donated prizes!
Good times had by all! :)

Figures that I finally would have won something... if I had been able to escape from Field Reset on Newton.

Would it be possible to move the 2009 web hug till after matches are done for the day, or is it just me that finds it hard to get free from volunteering/competing to attend?

I was disappointed when I missed it because our flight out of Richmond was delayed by an hour. Maybe next time.

It figures the one year I missed it is the one year I won something. XD
Oh well, here's to next year!
