CHCH Tonight (team 1114)
 

Can't get too much out here on the blackberry but I was just talking to a CHCH reporter and she is plannin on doing a story for tonights 6pm news on CHCH Niagara/Hamilton/Toronto on team 1114 and the team from stoney creek possibly....so you might want to watch starting at 6pm, she said if all goes well with the story it should run this evening.

I'm on other news today so I'll be out of the loop ofr the rest of the day.

For those that don't know, CHCH is a CanWest Global channel run from Niagara region, and AFAIK in Toronto Area is on Rogers Cable 11.

I know in Whitby/Oshawa it IS on Cable 11.

Also, the "team from stoney creek" is OP Patriotics, team 2056.

W00t I love 1114. I am hoping to be in your division in Atlanta and get some good matches with you guys. Pretty good piece by the way. Keep up the good work spreading FIRST.

It worked fine for me in Flock (which is, for all intents and purposes, Firefox). Great piece!

The team just taped a 6 minute segment that will be airing on CHCH's (Cable 11 for most of the GTA) "Niagara This Week" on Saturday April 5th at 7:00 am and 6:30 pm, and on Sunday April 6th at 7:00 am. It seems as though the local media is finally catching on to the excitement that FIRST has to offer.

Yea we got lucky in Chicago and ended up on ABC evening
news for about a 45 second tape clip when we running
serious hurdling at Midwest.

think of it as 3 x 15 seconds of fame.

Good job 1114 we need all the publicity FIRST roboteers
can get.

Wow thats a lot of hours spent on the bot. Great job spreading the word of FIRST.

Although I had expected a different repsonse for 11:08

heard the coach say something about 7 days a week and until 3 am and around the clock some days, hope my boss at the other station doesn't see that! I'm trying to get out of these 13-18 hour shifts :)

I had no idea CHCH was doing a feature, they did a report earlier in the week so I guess they liked the story....in today's news getting 6 minutes is good! 1:30 to 1:40 is usually as good as it gets which in many cases is never enough to tell the story properly.
