To All Ramp Riot Teams:

This email is intended to provide some updates on the information packet and to serve as a reminder about several events. Please share this with your team members.

i-Bot Wheelchair Charity Drive: Our team has a wheelchair bound student that is a 4 year FIRST member. He will be graduating this spring and we are trying to raise funds to purchase an i-Bot for his graduation. This device will allow him to live a more independent lifestyle upon graduation. Please help us with this important effort by donating at the event. More details to follow.

Food Drive & Mike Wade Memorial Award
Please bring as many canned goods as you can to Ramp Riot. Each year we ask teams to donate canned goods to the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard. The team that brings the most cans will win the Mike Wade Memorial Award. Mike gave us all so much over the years. We ask that all teams participate in this contest to honor his contributions to young people everywhere.

FRC Compact RIO Control System Seminar:
(10 AM – 12 Noon ) Room Assignment (TBD)
Team 103 will be demonstrating the new control system at Ramp Riot this year. Don’t miss this chance to see the new control system!! You don't have to be a registered team to attend. All are welcome!!


NEMO Workshop:
(9:30 – 10:30 AM) Room Assignment (TBD)
NEMO is back once again for their 4th annual workshop at Ramp Riot! This year NEMO will cover the topic of Working with Parents. Kathie Kentfield will discuss strategies for getting parents involved in your team, communicating to parents, and defining their roles on the team.


i-Pod Touch Raffle Tickets:We will be selling tickets to win an Apple i-Pod Touch. Tickets will be sold in the lobby for $1 each or (8) for $5. The drawing will be held at 5:00 PM on the floor at the Ramp Riot on November 8th prior to the Final Awards Ceremony.

We would welcome the help. KOKO Ed is also helping with Queuing. We also have lots of team members that love to chase those teams up to the field, so you would have lots of enthusiastic help.
