Re: Ramp Riot 2008: The Official Thread

Besides the amazing robotics competition there were some other wonderful Results of the Day:

1)$1,000 was raised for an i-Bot Wheel Chair for a team member. We also had a demo of the i-Bot wheel chair on the competition floor courtesy of Wayne Penn. (Thank You)
2) Gracious FIRST Teams donated 600 Food Cans for the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard
3) NBC10 did a live report from the WHS Circle Gym Floor on Friday. You can watch the clips here:

4) Ramp Riot hosted a technology workshop for 70 Girl Scouts focusing on technology careers for women. Girls had the opportunity to speak with women in science, drive a robot, and learn about the competition. Each girl received a special event patch and a “robot’ drivers license designed by our team.
5) Team 103 did a cRio control system seminar which was webcast to viewers around the country.

Thank you again to everyone that made Ramp Riot 2008 such an amazing event!
