I know this has been discussed throughout this thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...hreadid=65690), but just to make it easier to keep track of the teams, who'll be calling the Marquis their home during Championships?

As can easily be seen from the map in the thread that you mentioned, the current list is:

Plus FRC #0011 (MORT) which will be added in today's update.

Team 190 will be at the Marriot too.. So not only are the defending World Champs all in the same division again, we're also all at the same hotel :yikes:

lol, totally agree. I know MORT brings tons of games to regionals and stuff. Chesapeake was insane it terms of gaming.

Also, just a reminder to all teams to be as kind as possible to visitors. Let's make a good impression so they come watch us all:D

Hey so since there are soooo many teams I think I will hold and Egyptian Rats Screw game with who ever is in. For those of you that don't kno what that is you'll have to find out there. ( I'll give you a hint.....its a card game...but no gambling). It'll be epic with lots of people. :D ;)

I have one big deck that is made up of about 3 or 4 smaller decks along with a random asortment of cards that i find and add in.

254 has been at the Marriott since last night.

I stayed here in 2004, and it was nice, but it's been majorly renovated since then and is even nicer now.

The internet is $13 a day, which totally sucks (boo online physics homework due during Atlanta).

There's a few teams here already. Should be a lot of fun starting tonight when everyone else gets here.

Wired internet as well? Looking through their site it looked like only the wireless cost money :ahh:.

As far as we can tell the wireless doesn't work. There's no mention of it in the room, and none of us can connect to any of the networks.

The wired is $13 for noon-noon, plus free local and long distance phone calls. Total rip off for a hotel of this caliber, but if you gotta use it, you gotta use it.

Hey guys, instead of going to the social, pfft i dun wanna pay 45 bucks, team 1261 is going to the mariot marquis to party. They have a lotta room and so we're gonna hang out there...if any o you brought games or something...feel free to bring em...especially cards...lots of cards.

My offspring, staying at the Marriot Marquis with Team 116, Epsilon Delta (black shirts) from Herndon High School lost my cell phone. The person who found it called a friend, who was the first contact number in the phone on 4/17 at about 11:15 PM and she called me to tell me it was "lost and found". If you are the finder and are reading this; will you please return the phone to the Herndon chaperones in room 217? The front desk says that it was not turned in to them and when I call the phone it goes directly to voice mail so is probably out of battery power. I "think" it is a LG phone and it is silver in color.

wheat we need to do next year is stratigicly let a couple people buy the wired internet on the 9th and 11th floor... and some of us also bring wireless routers to connect to, we can manually make hotspots for the skyline level (10th floor, the one with all the tables, where people were playing cards, scouting, playing chess etc.)
