Quarterfinals:
1 def 8 2 def 7 3 def 6 4 def 5 Semifinals: 4 def 1 3 def 2 Finals: 3 def 4 Once 67 lost thier last match, when they faced amazing double team defense, I thought that they lost thier chance at 16. Should be a very exciting eliminations |

Re: Curie Division 2008
Big thanks to team 368 for picking us! :D It was fun playing with you guys for once!
Also thanks to team 2171 for rounding out our alliance. You guys were awesome! I'd also like to thank 67 for the cool award they gave us, and for helping us set a record score on Curie (154 points without penalties). It was by far the most exciting match of our season. You did a terrific job representing Curie on Einstein! |

During the qualifications, it seemed they paired all the low numbered teams together and we never got to compete with any team numbers below 1000. As one of the team mentors for our team, this was a great learning experience. Thanks to our teachers and other mentors and parents and to Team Hammond, Team 71, for their help and mentoring. |
Re: Curie Division 2008
Team 2337 the rookies were awesome, but they lost in the semi finals by an inch

Re: Curie Division 2008
Wow. What an event. Looking at the going in Stats, everybody thought Curie was soft (including myself). After this weekend, I can definitely say I was proven wrong.
Congratulations to 67, 16, 348. You guys did a fantastic job and made the division proud by getting second. Content edited due to inaccuracy thanks. To our alliance thanks for a great job. When you put up 130 points and still loose, that is a loss you can still be proud of. 2337- Thank you so much for picking us. You guys have had an amazing season and I hope you continue to come back with strong robots and a strong team. 45- We were so excited to get to play with you guys. Hopefully we get the chance again at IRI. |

Thank you to the Bees. It was fantastic to be able to team up with you, after playing against you at West Michigan. You were great partners. Team 45, you guys were awesome. Hope we get a chance to do it again in the future. And to EVERY team who competed on Curie, THANK YOU for making our rookie year one that none of us will ever forget. Every team should be congratulated on a great season. Everybody is a winner with FIRST. Now ... what is the date for the 2009 Kickoff?? :D |

A couple of thank you's.... Cody, Nick, Ken, Jim, Ethan, Nick, and Paul...excellent job staying calm and focused the entire eliminations. Scouting team - your excellent data made it much easier to form the top 24. Teachers, Parents, and Mentors great job keeping everything running smoothly. 16 - Awesome job this weekend, way to stick with it the entire time. It seemed something wasn't quite right on Friday with the machine, but you guys worked hard and found that radio problem. I know Jim and Ken kept telling me to watch for 16 on Saturday....you quickly climped my list Saturday morning. You guys carried us early in the Curie eliminations. Excellent job root causing the issues during the Semi's on Einstien. 348 - Your performances during qualifying matches showed you could play effective D and score huge points for us in Hybrid mode. You guys performed flawlessly in Curie and on Einstien. Wayne had an effective strategy of making sure he talked to me everytime (I think) I walked into the pits...It made me take notice every match you were in. We almost beat the 'Ultimate Alliance'! :yikes: Thanks to the mentors from 111, 375, and 25 that helped with strategy and scouting from the other fields. 2337 - Hopefully there are no hard feelings we declined. You guys built an excellent machine. We just usually prefer to lead our own alliance when we have the oppertunity. 1126, 100, 33....etc, you all had excellent robots and we would have been happy to play with any of you. Funny thing is that everyone was so close that we wrote mulitple teams on our board and showed Cody on the field, before we decided on the Bomb Squad.....the tipping point was a dream that our coach had Friday night, that we would win with Baxter  Excellent job all weekend. I think we proved Curie Division can hang with any of the other fields this weekend. |

Re: Curie Division 2008
Team 2337, you guys did amazing. I can't wait to see how well you do next season.
Team 33, every one of us was psyched to play with you guys. There must've been 5 or 6 of us sporting Killer Bees t-shirts on the bus ride home. We were sweating when no one had picked us near the end of alliance selection. And when we heard you guys say "Team 45", all of us were on our feet. We couldn't have asked for a better alliance to play with. You were both near the top of our list for picks had we seeded in the top 8. But seriously, you guys were awesome. Can't wait for IRI. |
