It was my understanding that any off-season event would have to be in Western Canada.

Spring, Summer and Fall in the east has been cancelled on account of snow.

We would try to help with that, it would be nice to have an off season event to play in. Any ideas?

I'm sure 1075 would love to be involved/help out with a Canadian off-season.
We have zero money to contribute though, due to a sponsorship issue.

I will however say that during my chatterings at the Waterloo and GTR competitions, I spoke with Karthik, and he sort of indicated to me that 1114 would be trying to revive the competition that WAS the Wonderland Invitational, but that due to the new ownership of Canada's Wonderland being difficult, it might not be held AT Canada's Wonderland.

If it is somewhere in Ontario, we would go to it for sure, I don't really care if it's not at wonderland (I have been too many times lol :D) but it would be awesome if there was one!

(It would also save me from my previous posts lol I may of bitten off more than I can chew, I didn't really expect responses lmao :o :o , although we would still try and help I'm sure)

If there is no event in Ontario, I would recommend Rah Cha Cha Ruckus in Rochester. I have been going every year and have a great time. Fun, food, costumes, competition, draws, pie in the eye, what's left?

"If" there is no event in Ontario...

Speaking with plenty of mentors at Waterloo and GTR, to me it seems like there is plenty of desire to have an off-season event in the area. We used to have the Wonderland Event, which was absolutely AMAZING as far as off-season events went.

In the interests of putting out a few "feelers" about a replacement off-season event, if you're also interested in having a Canadian off-season event:

Where would like to see it happen?

When would you have it?

What could you do or provide to help make it happen?

At the very least, we could compile all the responses to Karen Rosenthal, and go from there.

I wouldn't mind having it at the U of W lol. (our team is only 20 mins away from there). That way we can help out with a lot of the grunt work (setting up tearing down etc etc.)

Probably in the summer sometime seems good! when was wonderland last time it was held?

Unfortnatly, our team would barely have enough money to pay an entrance fee to get into an off-season event, so any help we could provide would be physical, or organization help!

It would be awesome for a bunch of teams to get together and pull an off-season event off!

And Steve, The plan was to go to the Ruckus if things didn't pan out in Canada lol. How would our team go about registering for this event?? (I hope our team is good enough this year to get to go to Invitationals :D )
