Re: That's annoying.

For cycling... Vehicles that, with plenty of room to go around, don't. In fact, the #1 best way to irritate me/make me nervous is to go my speed when you have room, especially if I'm making an effort to let you go by.

(Had a car once that did that. When I absolutely had to take more room in the road due to a parked car, they honked and sped by. I think they were laughing. I figure anyone who tries that to me again, I can remember a license plate number.)

Back when the thread was first created, this wasn't offered in the USA. Prescience perhaps?

Little things that annoy me:

People who don't do their job, forcing you to bug them constantly
People who are not competent to do their job and don't even know it
People who drive poorly - especially following me too closely.

Re: That's annoying.

People who yell things out of cars at me while I'm riding my bike (more so if I know them, if they're strangers it's somewhat excusable).

People who cut me off on my bike. I mean really; I was going 30 in a 25, and I almost ran into the guy who cut me off because he couldn't wait five seconds to turn. I had to lock up my rear wheel to stop.

People who drive "sports utility" vehicles yet clearly don't do any sports. The people don't have much utility, either.

Re: That's annoying.

When I am walking around in a suburb and some random person yells " Learn to drive!!!" Its also happened when I've walked in crosswalks when the light has changed and its my turn to go. I've also gotten people yelling "Get a life!"

Do people have nothing better to do than to yell at pedestrians? How about they focus on driving themselves around rather than why a pedestrian (that's minding his own business) is not driving.

>People riding bicycles while talking on the phone and carrying something in the other hand. (physically impossible? visit a university.)
>Really old things the government still won't release the files on.
>Ticking clocks.
>Heizenberg's uncertainy principle.
>Lab View
>Busy schedules
>Pro E
>Petroleum fuels (they're just too darn energy dense and hard to replace!)

There's more, I'm sure... but these bug me on a relatively high duty cycle.

I know we avoid politics here, so I won't go into detail...But definitely the bailout.

People who get all their answers from someone else and then brag about their grade.

People who go out of their way to meet a celebrity.

People that speak foreign languages to communicate in front of you without you understanding them. Yes, I have a couple of Mexican friends that like to leave me out of many conversations.

People who call it a GPS System....
People who call their computers their "cpu" when they actually mean "pc"

generally, uninformed people who assume too many things.

~Webassigns (the most recent one took me almost two hours to do, because my teacher assigns them and doesn't teach us the material on them until the day AFTER they're due)
~6.02e23 (the cause of this two-hour webassign)
~HSM
~Girls who have a crush on Edward Cullen/Jacob Black
~Cops who don't obey traffic laws, such as using a turn signal and coming to a COMPLETE STOP at at stop sign
~pEoPlE wHo TyPe LiKe ThIs
~Rickrolls
~The use of "1st", "2nd", "3rd", etc. when typing/writing, instead of typing out "first", "second", "third", etc. Also applies to typing "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9" instead of typing out the word. (apologies, I work for the school newspaper, and that's one of the first rules we're told NOT to break when writing).
~The incorrect use of They're/There/Their
~Driving instructors who yell at you for doing something wrong (like making a very very very VERY minor mistake) when the reason that you did it wrong was because you were yelling at them for yelling at you for something that you did right that they thought was wrong (how I ended up completely missing a stop sign during driver's ed; he was yelling at me for almost sideswiping a car, when they were the ones who nearly sideswiped me)

I expect you know by now but 6.02e23 is the measurement of a mole

More that bug me...

People with hidden agendas.
Sales people that say anything to make the sale.
People that say they are your friend then turn out not to be.
Employers that use people till they burnout then dump them.
Chatting with someone while they surfing the web, looking at pics, or holding multiple pvt. chats.
Being rejected for something you have no control over.

Blinking LEDs, like on various chargers.
Batteries that barely last long enough for you to actually do anything wirelessly.
Suburbs
The lack of public transportation in the U.S.
Paranoia(pretty much any kind)
People who take things too seriously

I think the blinking LEDs are the worst though. :p
