People who say they don't like the game just to make everyone else lose.*

*Theoretically, this thread has just become "I lost the game" forever because now we're all obligated to make it known.

I know I'm not the first, but bicycle riders on the road! get on the sidewalk with the rest of the children. some of us need to drive places without people in skin tight suits holding up traffic.

In most areas of the US, it is illegal to ride on the sidewalks (and it is unsafe to do so, as well). Cyclists commonly travel at an average speed of about 15 miles per hour (as low as 10 for some, as high as 20 for others); this kind of speed on a sidewalk is very dangerous because pedestrians do not expect someone to be riding this quickly and will step in front of them, causing a danger for both the cyclist and the pedestrian. No, cyclists belong on the road and have as much right to it as cars do.

People who do that, and refuse to obey rule one of the game, Everyone is playing the game, making it so they "can't lose."

Yep.

And most cyclists do NOT intentionally hold up traffic. If they know what they are doing, they will be as far to the right as is safe, just like any other slow-moving vehicle. You should have plenty of room to pass them, unless it's unsafe to pass. If it is unsafe to pass, hopefully it's in the rare situation where a cyclist is "taking a lane" anyways, so you're only delayed until he moves to the side again.

Now, if they aren't as far to the right as is safe, or are going against traffic, they probably shouldn't be on the road.

I know my dad prefers cars to pedestrians when he's riding, primarily because he has some warning when a car is about to do something.

I'd like to append this with the most common interpretation of "as far to the right as is safe": about where a car's right tire is. Any further and cars will try to squeeze past without going out of the lane, causing a great danger. Any further into the lane, and it will be an inconvenience to everyone.

People who start unrelated arguments in threads. Now, stop arguing about bikes. The pedestrian/bike/car relationship is annoying to all involved. We all know this, anything else annoy you?

I apologize; I'm just in the habit of "educating" people... it's in my nature. I'll stop.

couldnt be more right. Theres a bunch of people i asked to join the team that had the excuse "im not smart enough." If you make an effort to learn a few basic things (what tool you use for what, how somthing works, what the rules are) you can easily have fun and be on the team.
