Re: Match Schedules

Yea, The algorithm is working fine, and it is better than before.
It still has its inconsistencies. We have 121 on the field with us 2 in a row, and then 70 3 in a row, and we dont even see 25.
Its a good randomizer, however, 1114 looks to only play numbers lower than them 2 times int he competition. Its not my place to say how it works, but i think it could be made better.

Re: Match Schedules

match 72 on Archy looks like its going to be a good one.

Match 72: 27 66 71 - 201 1 116

From Curie i bring you:

Match 44: 33 16 45 - 126 326 237

From Newton i see:

Match 16: 968 20 692 - 329 39 175
Match 87: 111 175 128 - 359 102 79

Galileo:

Match 44: 70 180 217 - 399 40 65

Re: Match Schedules

You know, Tom, that list you showed assumes 217 beats 330 in match 92. That match is going to be a pretty good one. Looks like the alliances (from what I remember on FF scoring) are pretty even, so it might come down to defense and speed. I just have to remember to wake up to watch it.

The matchup in question is Galileo #92: 1576, 548, 330 (red) versus 217, 384, 316 (blue).

If you want to find all the matches for a particular team, try using the database I made last night.

I take 217 in that match. Individually, 330 might be a bit better, but Sparky (384) looks better than the two teams who play with 330.

However, for the best match in Galileo, I give you match 75, scheduled for 9:03AM on Saturday: 1114, 234, 65 vs. 8, 254, 469.

Other good looking matches include:

Newton match 16: 968, 20, 692 vs. 329, 39, 175
Newton match 32: 111, 488, 47 vs. 233, 312, 159
Newton match 75: 233, 79, 868 vs. 296, 397, 39

Archi match 34: 949, 1218, 987 vs. 337, 71, 842
Archi match 37: 1547, 1379, 386 vs. 1024, 1398, 365
Archi match 88: 365, 190, 177 vs. 171, 357, 1124

No time to go over Curie now, gotta get going.

If you ran that with OPRs, a useful modification would be to spit out matches ranked by sum total OPR (particularely if the ratio between blue OPR and red OPR is close to 1).

We've had a terrible first day due to a combination of things. We hope to be more successful tomorrow, especially match 87. Match 87 is similar to what we dealt with all day Friday in terms of playing some really tough matches. I cant stand penalties and multiple penalties from the same team in one match. All I know is we had NONE today.:D
One major point to make!
As you look at the match schedules on the big board, it looks like an hour glass shape, meaning, all of the lower no. teams are generally playing each other and the higher digit teams seem to only be playing each other.
Similar to what Joe Ross has said, the main parameter for this is to keep match schedules a consistent time apart. I will further the point that they should randomize the team no. FIRST before using the algorithm.
Match 87 is a perfect example of the match scheduling the whole weekend so far.

The highest by far is match 75. Match 89 is second highest, and 79 is third highest and also a very close match.
