Match Schedules
Please post 'em here when you get them for us stranded at home.

Re: Match Schedules
For FRC at least, they've been posted in the match results section of each regional this year. So you see the whole list, with predicted time and everything.
So they'll probably be here: http://www2.usfirst.org/2008comp/eve...chresults.html http://www2.usfirst.org/2008comp/eve...chresults.html http://www2.usfirst.org/2008comp/eve...chresults.html http://www2.usfirst.org/2008comp/eve...chresults.html |

Re: Match Schedules
we were there today and we dont have a match schedule for tomorrow for Newton.
At lunch time today, they posted on the big screen the schedule for Friday and Saturday. However, no one from pit admin could confirm whether or not it was just a test algorithm or the actual schedule. I cant speak for the other divisions. Can anyone confirm if its the same? Can someone post all or ours.:P |
Re: Match Schedules
I do know that Curie has recieved theirs. I have 1732's matches, if anyone is interested. (but please don't flood my pm's, I know everyone can't wait to hear our matches;) )

Re: Match Schedules
Our team is in Curie but to my knowledge we never got a match list for the qualifiers. Do you have the list or are you ever in a match with us?

Re: Match Schedules
Can't believe I was the first one to try this. Here are the match schedules:
Archimedes Curie Galileo Newton |
Re: Match Schedules
Apparently they just put that up because I have been checking for the past 30 minutes. Good find. We actually have a match with you tomorrow

Re: Match Schedules
So who's going to run the numbers to try and predict the overall winner? It would be interesting to see how accurately it plays out.

Re: Match Schedules
Yea, The algorithm is working fine, and it is better than before.
It still has its inconsistencies. We have 121 on the field with us 2 in a row, and then 70 3 in a row, and we dont even see 25. Its a good randomizer, however, 1114 looks to only play numbers lower than them 2 times int he competition. Its not my place to say how it works, but i think it could be made better. |

I was referring to the robovikes.

Re: Match Schedules
wow.
pink probably has the most hard schedule iv'e seen. They play almost vs. every powerhouse there. |
Re: Match Schedules
You know, Tom, that list you showed assumes 217 beats 330 in match 92. That match is going to be a pretty good one. Looks like the alliances (from what I remember on FF scoring) are pretty even, so it might come down to defense and speed. I just have to remember to wake up to watch it.
The matchup in question is Galileo #92: 1576, 548, 330 (red) versus 217, 384, 316 (blue). |
Re: Match Schedules
If you want to find all the matches for a particular team, try using the database I made last night.

One major point to make! As you look at the match schedules on the big board, it looks like an hour glass shape, meaning, all of the lower no. teams are generally playing each other and the higher digit teams seem to only be playing each other. Similar to what Joe Ross has said, the main parameter for this is to keep match schedules a consistent time apart. I will further the point that they should randomize the team no. FIRST before using the algorithm. Match 87 is a perfect example of the match scheduling the whole weekend so far. |
