Team 2365 would like to design a team poster for next year. does anyone know of anything cool to include in one

Pictures are always good: whatever you want; it could be your robot, the drive team with the robot, the crowd in the stands, someone on your team just looking like they're having fun

If you're using the poster for recruitment purposes, include something that says it's a robotics team, when you meet, where you meet

Put in your team number since that's part of your identity

Maybe add in the FIRST logo (make sure you follow the rules about logo use though)

Above all, just have fun with it- it's your poster, so you can turn it into whatever you want it to and use it to make whatever statement you like. Just keep it postive.

Random tangent but...

We were selling hexbugs this year and all our poster said was: THE BUGS ARE COMING.

in comic sans on a landscape sheet.

We had people wondering.

I would recommend making it simple but that is just me.

Step one: Define your needs. Who is going to see this poster? What are you trying to convey to them? What should they take away from this poster?

Lay those out on paper, and the answers should present themselves pretty soon after.

First lay out the basics of what you want: whose the audience, what information do you want to put on it, where is it going to determine size etc.

Afterwards, think of things that represent your team or robotics/FIRST in general. Pick 3 items/pictures at most and just play around with size and ideas until you have something that everyone likes. Just remember, KISS it attracts attention that way, especially if people are rushing by it.
