CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
When I started the caption contest way back in 2004, I did not intend for the 200th to hit the week I graduated college. But hooray for happy coincidences.
Here are the scores: Code:
Travis Hoffman 120http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/18727 As always, the deadline is Saturday at midnight EDT, but bear in mind that I'll also be moving out over the same weekend. Go! |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
Renting a graduation gown: $200

Before the "Joe Matt" Pose existed....

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
The day Billfred graduated high school is also the day he misplaced both his scissors & razor, never to be found again.
[npoe] I thought about the Joe Matt thing too - good call. [/npoe] |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
This diploma right here…
gives me access to a whole new world: - a place where I can explore options, develop my humor, apply Murphy’s Law, - a place where I can log and blog my thoughts as I travel the rails of adventure toward new places, - a place where I can become a role model, a hero, a friend, - a place some dream of but I will live. It is the first diploma but it won’t be the last and it is a great start. This isn’t just any piece of paper, it’s a ticket to the FIRST world and beyond. All aboard..... |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
Billfred, properly performing a half-Joe Matt, shows us his brand-new shoes that took him four years to get.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
Wow. 200 contests, 4 years of college, and now you're graduating. Out in the big, scary world. Kinda exciting, really. I remember when I graduated college - never thought it would happen - and my first real job, and so on.
I'd wish you good luck, but I know you, and your abilities seem to transcend luck. So, I just wish you Godspeed, Mr. Leverette. (Why didn't I submit an entry? 'Cause Sean beat me to the perfect caption, is why.) Don . |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
[npoe] Billfred [singing]:
"I dug up this old photograph Look at all that hair I DIDN'T have." -Bon Jovi (with my modifications) [/npoe] Billfred's college superficial: Winner of the "What the heck happened these past four years?!?!" Award. [npoe] This came from the passport picture contest we had on the bus up to Canada- suffice it to say, we were good-naturedly cruel to each other. [/npoe] |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
Before enrolling into the Jeff Jackson engineering college I couldn't even spell Engineer. Now after 10 short year I are one. Thanks Joe Johnson.

Billfred, the Valedictorian of the Wanda Trossler School of Tap Dancing, Class of '04.
NOT AN ENTRY: What a great photo! |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
Many mentors end up pulling out their hair. Billfred, in typical form, went against the flow and allowed his to grow out.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
[NPOE]OK, Ok, I went back to the beginning and looked it up, only my 'latest' entry counts, so here goes...[/NPOE]
Billfred, in a happier moment several months before the unfortunate Rogaine On The Cheeks incident. <g> |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #200
Reminds me of myself at his age. So young and so impressionable, so clean cut. Where did we go so wrong?
