Hey, looks like somebody stopped in to manipulators'R'us and got themselves a new hurdling device. The lower jaw is quite intriguing; got a pic of it in an inspection compliant position?
Looks like a great event to spread FIRST; great job! |

These might help you visualize the new gripper's functionality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNEtc70EsH4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzenuGkNSg0 <-- Rube Goldberg funtime at the demo - please excuse the squeaky lift - needs some adjustment following so much use over the weekend. :) I liken this mechanism to a not-anywhere-near-as-polished-but-at-least-some-greater-than-zero-percentage-as-functional homage to Pink/Poofs' creations. |

NASA's 2nd ????? jet aircraft (guess the airplane - I know what it iiiiii-isssss) in the background was a curious observer of our little show. A fun, unique venue for a fun event! Looks like a S3 Viking... |
Re: pic: FRC48 and Others at NASA Glenn Open House
That would be correct!
Here's some info on what NASA does with the planes: http://www.nasa.gov/topics/aeronauti...viking_prt.htm The blue and white S-3 was sitting right next to the one shown in the picture. |
