Re: Championship Winners

Any one notice how 65,66,67 have each won a championship, I wonder what the odds of that are.

They're GM sponsored.
Clinical studies have shown that having a GM sponsorship improves your chances of winning a championship exponentially.

I can think of some bigger odds--getting 68, 69, and 70 to win so there's an unbroken string, plus a second dose of Martians winning.

It also shows the impact that engineers can have on a team. Look at these teams and look through the list. There are excellent examples of why engineers and technical mentors are such a vital part of the FRC experience.

Also, two sets of medals, and a spot reserved in the following year's Championship (I'm still kinda ticked off at my old team, 296, for not taking advantage of this in 2007  ).

Don't forget, there may be a chance to defend your title at IRI! (I believe that if you want to go, and you are a current champion, they put you high on the list to get in.)

Not to mention the hugging of random people, or people that you have only known for two days on two separate occasions. Along with the sheer joy and ecstasy of not only making your own dream come true, but making the dreams of 30+ other people come true. That's what you get from a Championship win.

P.S.- I also happened to get a 3+ minute long squeeze from a ThunderChicken I barely knew hehe.
