Living on Mars Time

From Space.com

How the support staff of the Phoenix mission deal with the length of the Mars day.

I'm going to get us a big blue light for build season :D

Don't worry, they get to go back to a 24-hour schedule in a couple of years, if dave's rover work schedule is followed. It's interesting how many unrelated (yet very much mixed) projects sprout from NASA to deal with all these details.

Re: Living on Mars Time

I wouldn't mind living on Mars time, since I have no problems staying awake for 18-20 hours per day, followed by 6-8 hours of sleep.

It's hard for me with a regular work week schedule, but during the school year I would actually "roll over" two or three times per week.

While it is weird sometimes to stay awake until 6am, go to sleep until 9am, wake up for a lecture, fall back to sleep from 10am until 1pm, then wake up for the rest of the day (possibly with a two hour nap from 5-7pm), I've found that I can usually be a lot more productive and get a lot more work done per 24-hour day on that schedule. Especially from 10pm until 2:30am, which is usually when I am the most productive.
