Send your name to the Moon (quickly!)

Last chance to join NASA's return to the Moon! Sign up to send your name to the moon at http://lro.jhuapl.edu/NameToMoon/index.php

The deadline is July 31, 2008 for the submission of names.

Names will be collected and placed onboard the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft for its historic mission bringing NASA back to the moon. You will also receive a certificate showcasing your support of the mission.

LRO's objectives are to find safe landing sites, locate potential resources, characterize the radiation environment, and demonstrate new technology.

I hope the moon doesn't mind a name like Squirt Young.

I've always wondered if anything with my first name ever went to the moon.

I read about this in either an Aerospace America or Aviation Week & Space Technology and I thought the deadline passed a couple weeks ago and was disappointed. Awesome! Thanks! Also, I'd like to go to the moon in real life, so if you could hook that up...;) haha (Actually, that has always been a lifelong dream)
