Aha... reminds me of my second car:

1979 Chrysler New Yorker
Leather interior (Corinthian? hehe)

I bought it for $250, and drove it during college for a couple of years. Then, a guy I carpooled with bought it from me as a demolition derby car. I think that he paid me $150 for it.

I believe that he had the only car in the field with soft "Corinthian leather".

The Cordoba got the fine Corinthian leather, according to Mr. Montalban.

Oh man... that car would be worth more than all the money you put into it today... I hate seeing Mopars in demolition derby's. Course they usually win them.

At one time I had a '71 Satellite with the 318... good little runner :)
Sold it after buying a '74 New Yorker aka battleship on wheels.

The '70's had such awesome cars! :D

Um, maybe not. Remember, it cost $110 and wasn't really worth even that much. It had some body damage, and don't forget the accident in Ship Bottom which did not improve it's condition. It had several other 'issues', many of which escape me at the moment, all of which were telling me that demo derby was a better place for it...

But I do share the sentiment. I definitely love old cars, mostly as machines and not as objects of affection, and tend to maintain them very well. My daily driver has over 190,000 miles on it, the newest car in the family has only 140k...all of which are almost new-looking.
