WEEK 2
Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 Chicago at Carolina, 1pm I honestly have no idea what to expect from either team but the Bear D looked like it was the 2006 version. That's good enough for me! Tennessee at Cincinnati, 1pm Cincy is regressing again. Green Bay at Detroit, 1pm Why should I ever believe in Detroit? Buffalo at Jacksonville, 1pm This will probably be the best game of the week. Jacksonville is tough to beat at home. Oakland at Kansas City, 1pm Raiders look lost. Indianapolis at Minnesota, 1pm Manning will still be trying to work his way back to his lofty standards. Til then the Colts will struggle. N.Y. Giants at St. Louis, 1pm Rams stink. Period. New Orleans at Washington, 1pm 'Skins come across as disorganized. San Francisco at Seattle, 4:05pm Upset special. Seahawks looked terrible in Buffalo and have no one for Hasselback to throw to. Atlanta at Tampa Bay, 4:05pm Reality punches Atlanta in the face. Miami at Arizona, 4:15pm Taking the Cards is a risky proposition but hte Dolphins have to crawl before they can run. San Diego at Denver, 4:15pm Chargers are overrated. Baltimore at Houston, 4:15pm Mr Flacco meet Mr. Willaims. Again and again and again. New England at N.Y. Jets, 4:15pm I think the Farve thing is all hype but the loss of Brady will hurt them in games like this. Pittsburgh at Cleveland, 8:15pm The Browns are not ready for primetime! .Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 Philadelphia at Dallas, 8:30pm Take the home team. |

Chicago at Carolina Still not a believer in the Bears and Orton Tennessee at Cincinnati Collins may be better for the Titians Green Bay at Detroit atleast the Lions are at home... Buffalo at Jacksonville Still think the Bills are a 'pretender', but Jag's oline is really beat up Oakland at Kansas City This game could deciede the #1 pick in the draft... Indianapolis at Minnesota I have more faith in Manning bouncing back than Jackson New York Giants at St. Louis Atleast the rams are at home... New Orleans at Washington Redskins did have a few extra days to prepare, but... San Fransisco at Seattle Who will catch the ball for the seahawks? Atlanta at Tampa Bay Ryan will really struggle against a real defense Miami at Arizona Arizona looking like the possible favorite to win the west San Diego at Denver Merriman-less chargers still win due to big game from LT New England at New York Jets Brady didn't play defense, which shuts down Favre and Jets Pittsburgh at Cleveland Pittsburgh isn't as good as they played last week, while the Browns aren't as bad Monday Philadelphia at Dallas Taking the home team Baltimore at Houston Ravens aren't as good as they looked last week, while the Texans will actually play some defense. |

Chicago at Carolina I like Carolina's offense, they're my trendy pick of the year. Tennessee at Cincinnati Tennessee's offense was weak with Vince Young, expect The Titan's to run amok. Green Bay at Detroit Detroit's defense was pitiful last week. Buffalo at Jacksonville The Jaguars finally get things clicking. Oakland at Kansas City Ich...will anyone actually care about this game? Indianapolis at Minnesota Minnesota can stop the run, but can they stop Peyton's laser rocket arm? New York Giants at St. Louis The Rams are awful. New Orleans at Washington Even without their main go-to guy, the Saint's should handle Washington San Fransisco at Seattle Is there anyone on Seattle that isn't on the injury report? Atlanta at Tampa Bay An upset, and Tampa Bay is down 0-2 in against division opponents. Miami at Arizona Arizona is the better team. San Diego at Denver LT might be hurt, and the defense will be lacking. New England at New York Jets No way Brett loses his home opener. Pittsburgh at Cleveland Cleveland isn't the inspirational story they were last year. Monday Philadelphia at Dallas It's going to be a shootout, but I think Jessica Simpson wrote a check her boytoy can't cash. Baltimore at Houston Toss up, but I like the Texans playing at home. |

If you haven't figured it out by now, I tire of the smoke and mirrors rah rah junk surrounding this team, both team and media generated. It's time someone (*cough* Romeo Crennel *cough* Derek Anderson *cough* Phil Savage *cough*) be held accountable for their shortcomings. I do agree with XaulZan's assessment in an earlier post. They aren't as bad as the showed against Dallas - that doesn't mean they're any good, etiher. Add the usual horrible level of injuries a Cleveland sports team is typically saddled with during a season, and you have a recipe for blah. Time to stand up and take pride in yourselves. There's no reason for fans to do so unless the players and coaches show they truly care and have passion for their profession that rises above merely showing up and collecting a paycheck. I shall rather enjoy the impending Pittsburgh slaughter should the Browns continue to exude a pathetic approach to each game. One can only hope a miracle occurs and they actually show up caring about the outcome - then maybe they might make a respectable showing. Otherwise - to oblivion.....and beyond! I'm in a let's be random mood today, so.... Sunday Chicago at Carolina Tennessee at Cincinnati Green Bay at Detroit Buffalo at Jacksonville Oakland at Kansas City Indianapolis at Minnesota New York Giants at St. Louis New Orleans at Washington San Fransisco at Seattle Atlanta at Tampa Bay Miami at Arizona San Diego at Denver New England at New York Jets - oh this would be special, wouldn't it? Pittsburgh at Cleveland Monday Philadelphia at Dallas Baltimore at Houston |
