This is a fantastic article. Thank you for posting it.

Team 842 won Championship Chairman's award for a reason. They are the reason FIRST continues to have an impact on tens of thousands of students in this world. I can only hope that one day, we have a thousand more teams with their drive and determination to reach success despite the largest of obstacles.

Wow.

Reading this article really made me learn so much more about what your team truly brings to the community. It must be hard facing some of those challenges. I learned what your team really means to the students as well and its not the same old story as other teams who say "yeah, its like a family for these kids." I think you guys have made an ever more important type of family for these FIRST kids.

Congrats again on the Chairman's. Now I realize why you received it.

Great job!
Definitely a team that has upped the ante for teams to win and deserve the Championship Chairman's Award in the future.

Here is the frustrating part:

After reading the magazine article, we received a phone call from a producer who wants to make a move about the team. We have had other offers before (remember the "We Left the Bays at Home" thread? A producer wanted to make a Disney TV movie about the girl's team) However, we are under contract with MGM who keeps rewriting a scrip (for four years) and has yet to commit to production.

Anyway, someday we hope it will be a movie.
