Central Texas FRC Teams,

Team 2158 will be hosting a LabVIEW with NXT Training workshop on Sunday, October 5th, at Anderson High School, open to any and all FRC teams that can come. Chris Koci, certified LabVIEW developer will be teaching the course. He was also the primary developer of the NXT toolkit for LabVIEW while an intern at National Instruments.

We will have 12 laptop computers and 12 NXT kits available for the training. If you have your own laptop with LabVIEW installed and an NXT robot, feel free to bring it, but make sure everything is installed before hand, otherwise you can just use the computers provided.

We won't have a cRio controller but programming with the NXTs will give you a fairly good idea of LabVIEW and how it can be used for robotics. If you know any new teams for 2009 please get them to register for this event.

For teams closer to Houston we are planning on having two workshops Oct. 11th and Nov 8th.

We are planning on going over Labview as well as preparing rookie teams for the next season.

The LabVIEW with NXT Training workshop originally scheduled for this Sunday has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 26th. Unfortunately our instructor, Chris Koci has been sick all week and is not up for the training this Sunday.

New Place: University of Texas, ETC Building Room 3.112
What to Bring: Nothing is required, but if you have your own NXT kit, feel free to bring it, but make sure you build a standard NXT robot with two wheels, and the four sensors that come in a kit (ultrasonic, light, touch, and sound).
