This will be sweet, the first launch I've ever seen! We're looking forward to the BBQ and the event!

I'm bummed that 1902 is having the BBQ on Wednesday. 1523 won't be there till Thursday.

I guess I just have to watch the Shuttle launch from outside my front door. It's not as dramatic being 200 mi away, but still an awesome sight.

This Florida Regional is going to be something else with the new pit area. It will soon rise to Super Regional status.

I have to say I'm pretty excited about this year's event, even more then usual. When we did the venue walkthrough a few months back I was really excited seeing how the pits and field will work this year... I think having the 2 buildings is almost going to be a reward for the mentors that survived the Florida Regional "Dark Ages" (also known as pit tent city).

I'm really glad Wendy was able to put together a social for teams, it's been ashame we haven't been able to have one for a few years and I think it's definitely going to be a good time. I just hope we're done setting up in time so I can be over there Oinking a bit before Thursday. Can't wait to see everyone again, I have a feeling you will all be in for a treat once we get settled in Thursday.

Does anyone know if there will be a time on Thursday to take your robot on the field to calibrate the camera for the lighting on the field?

I intend to bring this up during our rollout meeting Wednesday. We'll let teams know what we come up with Thursday morning.

For those looking for initial articles they can show to school representatives and all about the event in an official capacity one of the first news articles is up for the event now at http://news.ucf.edu/UCFnews/index?pa...2b83251c08 df I will try to post links to articles that come out during and after the event once the event is over. Good luck everybody!

I know, I"m sorry. A lot of the Florida teams don't come up till Thurs. This gives the teams that come in from far away something to do on Wednesday night. Bacon is to busy on Thurs to throw a party....sorry

No apology required.

Good luck this year. I was shocked that 968 was shut down in San Diego. That was a crazy match.

I plan on eating at that restaurant several times this season. It's my favorite.

Unfortunately, NASA scrubbed the launch for today. They might try again tomorrow though.

Yeah as mentioned in this thread. Hopefully the hydrogen leak on the external tank isn't serious enough in which it will allow everyone coming to this regional to get a chance to see a launch.
