I'm looking forward to being there for part of Friday and all day Saturday. It should be quite the competition.

Yea my roomate and I were looking at that and just looked at eachother and said "wow"

I'll be around saturday for eliminations. see ya there sean!

Hot off the presses! The Load-in/Load-Out information for the CT FIRST Robotics Regional Competition can now be found on our website, www.ctfirst.org/frc, in the section "For Teams".

Other information about the Regional can be found there as well.

Team 1991's here and ready to hold our own with all the low numbered teams and regional champs!!!

Also, we WILL be hosting our Fireball again, Friday after the events. We encourage all teams to sign up to go! We have good food, a halo tournament, music, and a possible version of a soccer game with the orbit balls!

Any team that went last year can't vouch that it's fun!

Send me an email at flanamatt@live.com if you're interested!

Yes, Connecticut will be very comeptitve with 5 Regional Champs, 8 Semi Finalists, and 7 Quarter Finalists (to date) not to mention a whole slew of teams that are appearing in their first or only Regional and waiting to knock them down a few notches. Bring extra parts as it should prove to be a "battle ground".

Team 1991 once again be hosting it's FIREBALL - the "unofficial" team social event at the Connecticut Regional. Last year we had approximatley 30 teams show up for a great time and we will continue that again this year.

For more information, or if interested send an email to Flanamana (above post) at flanamatt@live.com or visit http://www.team1991.com/fireball.html
if you're interested!

It will be Friday night from 7-11pm. It is offsite, so you will need your own transportation to/from the event. Plenty of space is available as we have mutiple rooms/gyms.

So all of you out of town teams or first timers to the Connecticut Regional, since you'll already be spending the night in the area, why not come out for a great time.

Re: 2009 Connecticut Regional

Will there be wi-fi available by the venue, or by other means, & if so, how much is it for access if not free?
If anyone can answer that, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

Will there be power in the stands (can we set up scouting laptops there)?
And/or can we set up a local wifi connection? I know we couldn't at Boston, but some regionals have allowed it.

Power is not available in the stands (please do not arrange for power in the stands). Teams are free to use laptops only if they are powered by batteries.

Teams will not be allowed to set up a local wifi connection.

I was wondering when that was going to get announced. Can't wait to hear the Jack/Grady combo taking us through an event.
