Not the right file type
Grrr... I can't attach an Excel file to my note... So I'm going to give it to Brandon. Maybe he can put it into the white papers section.
Andy B. |
File......
You could save it was a .txt file with Excel, then open it with Word and save it as a .doc file........ (hey i'm bored and i just thought of that)
:D (or u could put it in the white paper section so it wont get lost in a thread) :D |
oops
ill let it allow xls files..
but -- if its something that could be useful in the future, i'd post it in the white papers section as stated in the previous post one day ill make the white papers more automated, so you can upload it to the server, and you dont have to fumble with sending it to me in an e-mail and all that extra work. ...one day... |
Excel File - Unofficial Pre-Q Teams
OK... I'll try this again.
Here it is! Remember that this is unofficial. Please correct it within this thread by pointing out any mistakes. Andy B. [edit: removed attachment, new attachment in future post] |
Unofficial Pre-Q Teams
Thanks Andy.
I also made a sheet, but I was too chicken to post it. It seems to jive with the TechnoKat sheet pretty well. Here are some interesting stats from the sheet: There appear to be 72 Pre-Q'd teams 65 of the 72 arequalified based on last year's performance Of the remaining 7, 1 earned 4 points last year, 4 earned 3 points, and two earned no points. 3 of the remaining 7 are original teams the other four are Chairman's Award winners or finalists. |
Double check
Andy,
I checked the XL file and saw a few teams that were different. I didn't see team 64 on the 2000 or 2001 Chairman's Finalist list, so they may not be eligible for that reason. I think these teams were left out, not intentionally: 112 133 144 151 349 But, of course, FIRST has the last say on who is eligible. Just thought I'd help you check. -Jason |
Andy and PJ,
What awards did you consider judged awards? |
Quote:
Quality Industrial Design Leadership in Control Creativity Driving Tommorrow's Technology Team Spirit Sportsmanship Imagery Rookie All-Star (2x) "Special" Judges Awards (2-3x) Oops, forgot that I also gave credit for 3 Autodesk Awards at Nationals: Realization Visualization Rising Star I do not think I gave credit for Honorable Mentions. I did not give credit for the "Incredible Play" Award. This one is voted on by the teams, not the Judges. I'm not even sure what percentage of teams actually turn in their ballots. FIRST may view this differently though. P.J. |
Do the animation awards count? Andy said that our team got two judged awards. The only two that we got last year were the Motorola Quality Award and the Autodesk award for Technical Excellence. Not that it really matters, because we don't qualify either way, but I was just curious.
|
andy, this is just a technicality but 234 got 3 awards, 2 Delphi's and a special judges award.

Corrections... and Public File
1 Attachment(s)
David and all...
Yeah, this thing needed some corrections. It gave the Huskies' Chairman's Award Finalist to the GilaMonsters... and it left off one award to CyberBlue. All judged awards were recognized in this spreadsheet... just like PJ's. (Man, PJ, maybe you are my long lost twin brother, two years removed). I think that this spreadsheet did include the "Incredible play of the day" award, though. As for the spreadsheet, I've attached an updated version. I hereby declare it a public spreadsheet, although still unofficial. In other words, don't expect me to keep it up to date. If you find an error, please correct the error and re-post the spreadsheet... it's as easy as that! Andy B. |
