Team 229 designed a bot that was so good at autonomous that it graduated Valedictorian of the 2008 class. It is surround by its chain greaser and paint manager.

These three graduates of Clarkson show the tremendous caliber of its students. Two of them built and programmed the third, which went on to finish college faster than either of them did. For that matter, it graduated with a Ph.D in mathematics. The other two only have their Bachelor's degrees.

This marks the first time that a robot delivered the commencement address. It was also the first time each graduate received his/her diploma via T-shirt cannon shot.

2G/0=∞I

Two graduates, divided by zero, equals infinite inspiriation.

Here we see Chris, Paul and Adrienne in there graduation picture. Paul was unable to make it so they substituted their robot. No one seemed to notice.

The students that graduate from 229 are incredibly lucky, they start off with great engineering minds, and get to graduate alongside their babies.

Looks like someone (read: robot) forgot their cap and gown

Quote from the valedictorian speech- "My wissh for you is that life becomes all the you want it to. May your gears stay greased and your chains never break. May your robot always stay within the weight limit and may your zipties never come apart. Mostly may your wheels always turn and your programs always function."

Non FIRST members at the commencement had difficulty not only understanding why a robot was giving their graduation address, but how zipties applied to graduation.

Dean's Homework submitted by 229:

To a degree, division by zero is not an irrational concept to understand or implement. Numbers of students and mentors have proven this, running circles around their competitors- heels or no.

Adrienne, whispering to robot....

"PSST! A little to the left.....No, your other left, genius. Chris' head is THAT way! OK perfect....now get ready to fire....this'll be great - he'll never see it coming....OK hit it.....c'mon let 'em fly! NO?!? What do you mean "No"?!? Some Irrational robot you are. You're a disgrace to your name!"

In order to receive a cap and gown, the principal decided that seniors had to prove that division by zero was possible. These two took on the challenge, but in a different sense. Needless to say, the principal was impressed by their solution to the problem, and gave them the caps and gowns because he admired their hard work.
