Labview activation

Does anyone know how we could acquire the activation code in order to activate Labview.

Do they send us an email or do we have to call?
Do we need any specific information on hand to get our activation code

Someone reply please.

Re: Labview activation

The LabVIEW Serial number allows activation and it comes printed on the cover of the software release DVDs in the control system shipment. It's the bottom one labeled S/N.

Excellent thread title by-the-way :)

Simple answer: no.

More detailed answer: If your Mac has an Intel processor, you can buy a program that will run Windows software on it. That will let you use the copy of LabVIEW for FRC that comes in the 2009 control system kit.

Actually you can, but it wont work with the CRIO. The KoP last year contained a student version of Labview which contained both the Windows and Mac installers. So, if you wanted to learn basic concepts of programming in Labview you could ask your team if they still had those discs and if you could borrow them.

This link will take you to the information on downloading and installing LV 8.5.1. That is the version that was used to make the FRC version of LV. Most teams have used it until they get the DVDs that have the full FRC version of LV. The DVDs are only available with early shipment.

Just a quick warning, don't install the Update for FRC LV. It is only for the DVD version.
