I also notice a connection to movies, DreamWorks from moonfish and Paramount as in Paramount Pictures.

It's not exactly in Minnetonka. It's closer to the area of Saint Louis Park, MN.

Central (Ave) in Phoenix:

A place to get connected there, would be the Light Rail public railway.

I believe we will be ice fishing so to speak.

Slippery areas would give the drive team something new to think about, while fishing would give upper mechanical a challenge.

As for programming i think the camera will be used to locate the "fish" in autonomous mode.

Just a guess based on other peoples ides but work off of it please.

Do you remember what cross-street you saw the dome at? I don't recall a dome out that way and didn't see anything that I thought was one.

It's in Bronx Park, Saint Louis Park, MN, if it is a dome. Closest to Idaho Ave. S and Minnetonka.

Oh sorry, I missed the bottom line on that post... which happened to be the one that had the link.

I guess I'm not the only one who thought of that, though. (:

Just read the bold parts...

Take your machine out of the shop on Colorado in Paramount;
stop by and get connected on Central in Phoenix;
drive by and make a pickup on Minnetonka in Minnetonka;
then head to the field on Evergreen in Dover.

I think that's wayyyy more important than the places.

I think that is a water "tower" (not elevated). It is too small to be a dome for a sports facility at the least.

Are you suggesting that the places are red herrings? Half this thread is analyzing the places. They're there for a reason, and I'm willing to bet they go hand in hand with their respective tasks you bolded. The places mean that there is a certain displacement in between the tasks.

Remember 06, where there were four periods of play: Auto, Offense, Defense, and free-for-all. It took time to get from one period to the other. Likewise, it takes time to get from one of those places to the other. I see the return of the periods of gameplay.

Don't rule out the places so fast;)

Ahahahaha!! I don't discredit your guess, since it's indeed very plausible, but isn't that what we currently do already??? O_o

(Machine out of the shop) - Get out of the pits!
(Get connected) - Make sure your electrical system works and/or hook up to driver's station!
(Make a pickup) - Be sure you have that flag for your alliance color!
(head to the field) - Get your bot on that field!
