Microsoft says IE has new Security Issues
Microsoft has issued this Security Advisory.
They first advised about this in Dec 10th. They still don't have an fix. They have work-arounds for the moment. |
Re: Microsoft says IE has new Security Issues
You gotta love Microsoft...

Re: Microsoft says IE has new Security Issues
I know the original post was from 4 days ago, but just so there is no panic, you can get the fix for this security issue by running Windows Update. The patch has been available since at least 12/17.
If you haven't run Windows Update, you should. Edit: OK, so my math is bad, the post was from 5 days ago ;> |
Re: Microsoft says IE has new Security Issues
The patch was issues yesterday 12/18. 8 days does not make them look good.

Re: Microsoft says IE has new Security Issues
When I read the title of the thread I thought to myself "well, duh!". I think it's a given that anything as complex as Windows will have holes to be found and exploited. And I don't mean complex in a good way.

Re: Microsoft says IE has new Security Issues
Are these actually new security issues, or did they just find them? I don't think this has ever been a surprise, it's why so many people use firefox...

Re: Microsoft says IE has new Security Issues
But Firefox has no where near the amount of security issues IE does. ;)

I prefer FF as a browser (I'm writing this from FF3.0.5), but there is no reason to believe it is more secure. |
