Could someone familiar with the setup being used for the Michigan Districts chime in about whether the familiar video drop will be provided? I believe I remember reading that the A/V setup will be a bit different at these events, but I'm not really sure.

I dont see why the a/v would be different for the michigan regionals. The regionals should still have a camera crew and they still will be mixing video to the main screen therefore there should be a location of connection for teams if not I am sure someone could just ASK.

I have still to ask the regional directors, but assuming the video drop is available, we will be recording Chesapeake and Washington D.C.

2009 Event Abbreviations

For consistency and predictability sake, we have a preference in naming the movie files.

General Naming Rules
* Two or three character event abbreviation in lowercase, e.g. "fl"
* Underscore, "_"

* XOR:
Qualification: Use THREE digits, "001", "047", "108".
Elimination: Use "qf4m2", "sf2m1", "fm3"
Awards: Use "award_" + AwardDescription.
Opening: Use "openingremarks_" + "friday" or "saturday".
Closing: Use "closingremarks_" + "friday" or "saturday".
Else: any string that does not begin with "qf", "sf", "fm", or a digit.

* ".wmv" , ".mov", ".divx" , ".whatever"

Notes:
# Always use lowercase, please.
# No spaces in a filename, please.
# Sometimes a match gets replayed- name the one that counts in the standings as "fl_001.wmv". The one(s) that do NOT count, "fl_001bad1.wmv", "fl_001bad2.wmv", etc...

:D Well, this is something that I have been wanting to for a few years now. But, when I looked at your list, I do see that the Michigan District Events are not included right now. I would be willing to do hopefully two the district events and the State Championship.
I still need alittle more clarification on what, I would need to do, to record all the matches. So PM me with some more details to help :D

Alright, 2175 will be taking care of the 2 MN regionals.

I also added the Michigan District events to the list. I assumed that the districts you might cover would be the ones 326 is attending Nicholas.

The Blue Alliance will be on site recording (and hopefully webcasting) the Boston Regional again this year.

Regarding other posts in this thread:

• We usually store a Flash Video and a high quality video, but I started pruning some of the hi-qual videos because we were running low on disk space. I can likely re-add them all, I just need to do some reorganization of files.
• I will get up videos that I have (like cal games) asap. I had some transcoding issues on some of them, and have been working on other projects over break. I'll try to do this later today.

Added 108 for Florida and Buckeye, 111 for Midwest and Boilermaker

p.s. As 108 is not yet "in" for championship, is there anyone willing to help (see * below), taking shifts if needed?

I will hopefully be attending Michigan districts, Lansing and West Michigan. If I don't make it to one I will try to get someone on my team to run the DVD recorder.
