Driver station window blanks out?
 

Our driver station is fully updated. As is our Crio. Twice now, while we were watching, the driver station window blanked out completely. Pushing the buttons and enabling / disabling the driver station did not bring the display back. Power cycling the driver station restored function.

Anyone else having this issue?

We have found that if you statically discharge on the LCD it blanks out. We were able to repeat this by rubbing our feet on the carpet and touching the screen with our finger. Apparently, the driver station still operates just fine, but the screen is blanked out.

Thanks Paul. I'll see if we can duplicate that situation. Shouldn't be hard. We already covered the LCD in lexan - if static shocks are a problem I suppose we can cover the rest.

I'm wondering if perhaps FIRST should rethink the timing of giving us only 1 control system ever. It might be a little better to give us one once we've worked out the bugs this year.
