Can I control a victor/jaguar with an RC receiver

Can a victor or jaguar be controlled by the pwm off of a standard radio control receiver?
Thanks
Bruce

I believe so. The Jaguar might need to be recalibrated, since it has a different input range and rate (its input optimized for use with the 2009 control system).

Give it a shot and tell us how it goes.

For the Victors, you need the PWM signal driver listed here (http://ifirobotics.com/victor-884-sp...r-robots.shtml) to have them work with any non-IFI control system. As for the Jaguars, I don't know...

Doh! Thanks for the reminder.

The signal input stage of the Victor requires a little bit more current than a standard hobby transceiver will give, and therefore needs an inline amplifier. The Jaguar's signal input stage is several times less demanding current wise, and (probably) doesn't. I'll rely on Luminary to give the definitive answer.

The Digital Sidecar fills a similar role. The NI module the DSC plugs into has enough drive strength for servos and Jaguars, but needs a little help if it is to reliably drive several Victors.
