I set up the Crio and got it to run a motor. What code is on the Crio by default? How do I open it in wind river? thanks.

Yeah, I tried that but wind river just freezes up. I'm running vista.

well thats basically your only option. try running it as an administrator (you'll need to do that anyway actually) if that doesn't work, try re-installing it... not sure what else to tell ya. |
Re: Default Code?
Ok, I got it to work. It must have been something with my computer because after rebooting it, it now works. Thanks for the help.

Re: Default Code?
I'm having an issue with a Wind River installation on an Vista X64 machine. The envionment seems to work but the default code does not show up although it is in the demo directory. I managed to compare with a XP 32 bit machine and I can see the FRC code on that machine when I select new examples. The default code is in the demo directory on the x64 machine but selecting new-> examples only shows 3 samples, Hello, Complex demonstration and Yacc.
I also had to reinstall Wind River becasue I originally put in the F: directory. I usually put large non core programs on another drive so c: does not fill up with junk so I can back it up easy. Labview is working off of F: and MPLAB worked of F: last year on the same x64 machine. .... sigh Don |

WindRiver is based off of Eclipse, and I know that Eclipse works anywhere you copy it. WindRiver is apparently not as well designed, and so far it seems to have some annoying interface bugs. As for compatibility, it works fine on my Vista x32 laptop. |
