They might be thinking of the Entrepreneurship or the Chairman's awards. Possibly Animation.

There is most definitely no "Management" award in FRC.

Yes I know that's why I'm so confused.

Maybe they mean Woodie Flower's award as well. lol
Every award is a microcosm of management I think to be successful.

If it's the Entrepreneurship award, it's one that the Judges give out. They come and talk to all the teams and they decide on a team that has outstanding Entrepreneurship within the team.

My guess is this is the one the OP was referring to... because new for this year, you need to have a business plan which you have to submit, and you need to be prepared to talk to the judges about:

Quote:

5.18.1 Business Plan Submission
A formal business plan must be completed and given to the judges during the Pit interview
process. Teams should be prepared to talk about their plan at that time. A template has been
provided below. Teams are free to create their own version. Refer to the FIRST website at
http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc...nt.aspx?id=440 for further details.
Perhaps this is what they were getting at by team management?

A way to establishing your team and a way to winning the KPCB Entreprenuership Award is by creating a solid business plan. You also have to know how your team functions inside and out when talking to the judges. It is good to clearly explain to the judges everything your team does and how your team is involved. If you have any more questions please let me know. I would be more than willing to help. :)
